Rain Sensors

Many windscreens now have rain sensors that are mounted to the inside of the windscreen. These sensors allow the wiper to turn on automatically when it begins to rain depending on the setting of the vehicle. It is important when replacing windscreens in these vehicles that the technician has been trained in the removal and transfer of the rain sensors. There are many styles of rain sensors and some need to be re-gelled before being replaced otherwise they will not work, while others can just be transferred over. Cameras

Windscreens also have cameras mounted to the inside of the windscreen. It is very important that these cameras are mounted back in the exact same position because they can affect the driving and braking of the vehicle. Windscreens which are fitted with cameras may need recalibrating
